Jesus
First received the following e-mail from Martin Nussbaum, a
prominent attorney, who works in the area of church law and
church governance. Searching for Mr. Nussbaum's firm, we found
this website affiliated with the law firm http://www.churchstatelaw.com/ Mr.
Nussbaum and his firm have devote a substantial portion of
their legal practice to church/state laws and are experts in
this field. We will be posting our own reflections on these

Subject: Law, Polity and The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
At the request of my clients, I am
attaching both my report of February
3, 2004 (addressed, at
their instruction, to President Kieschnick), as well
as the opinion letters of two prominent Missouri church-state
attorneys, Prof. Carl H. Esbeck, Esq. and
Michael K. Whitehead, Esq. Because of
your position as one of the leaders in the Lutheran Church-Missouri
Synod, my clients request that you take the opportunity
to read it carefully, share it with your fellow
Lutherans, and assist both
President Kieschnick and the Synod with your prayers and
support.
Very truly yours,
L. Martin Nussbaum
