a
Mud-Slinging Politics in the LCMS
The
following excerpts come from an e-mail subscription service run
by a pastor of the LCMS who is also a regular contributor to
another weekly publication known as Christian News. Please read
the following quotes and ask yourself these questions:
1.How
are Pastors and lay people showing support for the office of
Synod President when they openly plot and plan to unseat
President Kieschnick based on slanderous accusations against the
PSW District?
2.
Did the CCM really create a "virtual papacy" or is
this political posturing?
"California
Conservatives Prepare For 2004 LCMS Convention Crisis"
"Recent
rulings by the LCMS Commission on Constitutional Matters have
raised the
authority of the LCMS President to a virtual Lutheran papacy.
While
in California, on Wednesday February 9, 2003, this writer met
with
"Affirm,"
"Balance," "Consensus" and "Lutheran
Concerns" operatives in four
locations.
Like
many Districts the PSWD has placed its own agenda above the
human souls around
the world that need to hear the Gospel.
The
day will come when Loren Kramer and Larry Stoterau and the
self-serving
clergy
who reelect them will have to give an account for what they did
with
the
church offerings in their hands." |
