How to Make a Recommendation to the Committee for Convention Nominations:

1. We strongly encourage you to pray before you begin this process.  The elections at the LCMS conventions are held in order to place people in positions of service for our Lord and His church. Ask God to guide you.  Pray that His will is done. Pray for Servant Leaders who will assist President Kieschnick and the Vision of “One Mission, One Message, One People.”

2. Request the following information from the person whom you desire to nominate.
1. The individual’s name and address.
2. Home congregation.
3. Pastor of their home congregation (and his address).
4. Circuit Counselor for their home congregation  (and his address).
5. Additional references (two are required)

3. The following link will connect you to a list of positions for which elections will be held.  In addition this link will connect you to the nomination form itself. (http://www.lcms.org/2004convention/01/).

4. We encourage you to complete the form electronically, and then print out the final product.

5. When your recommendation reaches the Secretary of Synod he will request biographical information from the person you recommended. 

6. The deadline for submitting recommendations is October 10,2003.  So that your nominee’s biographical information is available to the committee at their first meeting, we suggest you send in your recommendation by August 10, 2003.
