Re-elect
Kieschnick and Diekelman
to Continue Healthy Process
By Dr.
Richard Bimler
Imagine The
Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod (LCMS) "telling everyone
what Christ has done!"inand new creative ways:
Affirming
member as a gift of the Lord
Encouraging
professional church workers in word and deed they will serve
others well
Supporting
lay leaders through equipping events and resources
Living in
order to give and to forgive
Laughing
because we know how it all turns out in Christ…while taking
the Lord very seriously
Asking others
for help
Articulating
the inspired Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions
faithfully so millions hear the saving Gospel
Seeing all of
life through the Cross and the Empty Tomb and going about
“Easterizing” people through Holy Baptism
Promoting
care ministries as a comprehensive part of the ministry of
Word and Sacraments
Shouting
"hoorays"a tremendous educational system that has so
much to give
Developing
and healthy team ministries by equipping and supporting strong
and healthy people of God
Rejoicing
people doing things right...and celebrating successes!
Listening
eyes and ears wide open to the , woes and wars of the
world...and bringing hope in Christ to heal these wounds
Challenging
aging of our church and society not to "retire" from
life and service to the Lord but to continue to be “keepers
of the meaning”
Energizing
young to strongly consider full-time professional church
workand at the same time affirming all of us as full-time
proclaimers of Christ
Voicing the
truth courageously even when it is countercultural
Realizing
that the LCMS message for some has unfortunately become “The
harvest is ripe, but the laborers are. . . arguing” and
being willing to change this “brand” and perception
Trusting to
be good stewards of all the gifts that the Lord has given
Imagine the
LCMS for Let’s Celebrate Many Strengths using these
strengths in ministry with others!
In order to
continue to lead our Synod toward making these dreams more
than a
vision, Dr. Kieschnick
and Dr.Diekelman to be re-elected
as President and First Vice-President, respectively, of the
LCMS. Once re-elected, they cannot do it alone.
They need
each of us—young and old, church workerlay, male and female,
black and brown and white, rural and urban and suburban,
churches large and small—to support them and other elected
leaders in leading the LCMS positively and powerfully into the
21st Century… Look out world, here we come!
And may our
banner read: "Sharing the Gospel is not our job...It's
our joy!"
Just imagine
this...in the Lord!
